Stampin’ With Sally

Sally McNamara – Independent Stampin’ Up! (R) Demonstrator

Mason’s Birthday July 16, 2008

It’s official… my baby is not a baby any more! Mason turned two on Monday and we had a party for him with family and all of his little friends. Here are some photos from the big day:

This is one of the invitations I made for Mason’s party. They were all slightly unique with different sticker strips and different patterned paper. These little pocket invitations were very easy to make, as they are just a piece of cardstock scored, folded over and taped with sticky strip to form the pocket. The little tag insert was a bit trickier as I wanted to print the wording onto it, so I had to line up the stamp to align over the printing if you know what I mean. Once again the stamp-a-majig saves the day! I decided to use up stickers and papers from a scrapbook kit from the old catalogue to make the invites, as they matched perfectly with the “eat cake” stamp set which I wanted to use. The “confetti” simply scrappin kit from the current catalogue is very similar to the kit I used, but the colours are obviously different. I strongly recommend the use of these kits for invitations because there is more than enough in one pack to make the invitations and party bags, and then to make scrapbook pages of the event afterwards, and all for just $36.95 per kit (plus 5% for P&H). Bargain! I will post my scrapbook pages from Mason’s party once I get around to making them!

This is an example of the party bags I made. I forgot to get a photo of them all before I gave them out, so please excuse the grubby fingerprints! Once again, they were all unique while following the same colour scheme and design, but using different combinations and different stickers strips. And once again soooo easy, as I just used  noodle boxes from Lincraft and added the embellishments. They were also personalised with each child’s name.

And here is a photo of the birthday boy! He doesn’t usually look this scary… he had his face painted as Kung Fu Panda by Melmo the clown. I would strongly recommend her for children’s parties in the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Toowoomba areas. The kids loved her and she had a very gentle but fun approach. If you would like her number please leave me a comment or send me an email. Thanks for looking.
